bike trails are all open. The Tahoe Rim trail is open only on even days at the Meadows near Mt Rose on Hy 431 to Tunnel
Creek Rd. The Tahoe Rim trail is open from Brockway summit to Tahoe City, but closed in wilderness areas.
Cyclist watch out for afternoon thunderstorms that build up at the lake on some days. For road bikers,
the road is fine around the lake, except for some road construction. The best way to ride the lake is clockwise. Drivers
tend to look at the lake, and I think they see you better, also you can see the lake better too. The best time to ride
is Sunday morning, there is less traffic and usually no large trucks on the highway.
